EBX isn't just another dance event. Its an event to participate in, to reap the joys of and celebrate fully in community. Its an event and space where you are given space to bring yourself and what you want to offer. There will be skill share workshops for anyone who wants to offer classes, and the event will be held in an organizational structure that allows space for participants to help make the event what they want it to be.
The venue (pictures to the left) is a historic schoolhouse on an expansive rural property that is all ours for the transforming. We will be dancing in and decorating spaces all throughout the property with a different on-site location every night, to help inspire the type of experience that is beyond the every day. Everyone will be living on site and eating together. We'll be workshopping, cooking, and creating magical party spaces by day, and dancing until the sunrise every night. The magic starts on Thursday afternoon and does not stop until we pack and give our hugs goodbye on Monday after Brunch. We are bringing in the Recess Production Team, a group of DIY event organizers from the United States that have 9 years of dance event production experience and are world renowned for creating truly unique spaces and experiences. Even better, they are all blues dancers! |
